Fellow of the Indian Association of Respiratory Care
In appreciation of her excellent contributions to the Association and the Respiratory Therapy profession in India, Dr. Anitha Shenoy has been awarded the Honorary Fellowship of IARC
She played a key role in establishing the Manipal University's respiratory therapy department. She pioneered the first respiratory therapy master's program (MScRT). She was the first program chair of the Manipal University's Department of Respiratory Therapy, regarded as the nation's first independent academic department. Since 2006, she has continuously served as IARC's president. She was instrumental in the IARC's formal registration under the Karnataka Societies Act. In 2012, she founded the Indian Journal of Respiratory Care. She served the journal as the Editor in Chief for over ten years.
