RESCARE'24:Workshop and National Conference

The Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS), a constituent of Symbiosis International University (SIU), is excited to announce a one-day workshop followed by a two-day National Conference, RESCARE'24. This event will take place from October 4th to October 6th, 2024.

As technology advances and better investigative and treatment options are introduced, the need for professionals equipped to handle newer diagnostic modalities is on the rise. This event aims to address this need by providing a platform for knowledge sharing and professional development.

Our Programs

SIHS offers a comprehensive B.Sc. (Hons) Medical Technology program with nine specializations:

Focus on Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory therapy plays a crucial role in both acute and chronic care settings. In acute care, Respiratory Therapists (RTs) are essential in emergency rooms and intensive care units, providing life-saving interventions for patients in respiratory distress. In chronic care, they help manage long-term conditions, improve patients' quality of life, and reduce hospital readmissions through ongoing support and education.

• 1. What is RESCARE?

  Rescare is the annual national conference of IARC conducted primarily for the Respiratory Therapists in India.RESCARE 2024 is the 16th National Conference of IARC.

• 2. What are the programs in RESCARE?

  RESCARE’24 will be a two day event with the first day consisting of scientific sessions; predominantly by RTs, Symposiums, Poster & Podium presentations, Quiz competition,Cultural Programs especially for the students, where the winning candidates are felicitated. In addition to this, we have also included an art exhibition where creative RTs can showcase their artistic skills too. The second day will be a scientific fiesta with various talks by some eminent speakers, dignitaries, RT students as well as interactive sessions. RESCARE is also a platform for the Annual General Body meeting as well as Executive meeting of the IARC office bearers.

• 3. Who can register for RESCARE?

  Any health care professionals or students of any health specialty can register for the conference. However, special concession in registration fee is applicable only to IARC members.

• 4. When and where is RESCARE held?

  RESCARE is usually conducted during the month of October by institutions that provide Respiratory Therapy/ Respiratory Care Technology courses.

• 5. How do I make payment for RESCARE?

  All the payments are online. The link for registration is available on the official conference/IARC page.

• 6. Can students be speakers in RESCARE?

  Yes. RESCARE is an event for the RT community and by the RT community. Volunteers are always welcome to be a part of this, provided they should be an active participant.

• 7. Whom should I contact for assistance regarding registration, accomodation, travel enquiries etc.?

• 8. Can I attend RESCARE if I am not a member of IARC?

  Yes, you can definitely attend RESCARE

• 9. Can I become a member of IARC during RESCARE?

  Yes, you can register as a member during RESCARE for which you need to follow the requirements mentioned in the IARC webpage. There will be a membership booth and volunteers available for your assistance.

• 10. Am I eligible for a refund if I do not attend RESCARE after registration?

  There will not be any refund or cancellation of registration under any circumstances. In an unlikely event of cancellation of RESCARE, the refund details will be announced on the official website.
